RETRO BATMAN BACKGROUNDS - Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!

Hey Boys and Girls, it's time again for "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday"! This is when the BAT-BLOG.COM posts a few BATMAN WALLPAPERS for your viewing pleasure. Please be sure to share them with all your friends!!



Now, the 1st one was made using a high-resolution photo of a Vintage 1940's BATMAN SERIAL Movie Poster. I'm totally loving the "Golden Age" style! The 2nd one was created by a 3-D Computer Artist who was inspired by the 1966 BATMAN TV Show. So, I guess both of these are sort of retro!

NEW BATMAN MOVIE BACKGROUNDS - Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!

For this week's "Wacky Wallpaper Wedneday" I thought we could celebrate some of the BATMAN Movies. The 1st one is an iconic image from the 1966 BATMAN Movie with Adam West ( "Some Days You Just Can't Get Rid of a Bomb!" ). The next background, of course, is the just-released "Teaser Poster" for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES movie. We can't wait to see this new film & the image of Gotham City crumbling is cool!

BATMAN LIVE BATMOBILE CAR - Free Desktop Wallpaper Backgrounds

Here are a few BATMAN LIVE "World Arena Tour Batmobile" Wallpapers I made last night to brighten your desktops. They feature the amazing photography of David Ellis, one of the Official Photographers for the UK show. They're very minimal, just the car, but they make really great backgrounds. Every Wednesday, here at the BAT-BLOG.COM, we have what we call "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday". This week we thought we would post some extremely BATMAN Backgrounds that are extremely WACKY! The 1st one features a great photo of some cute girl wearing a HARLEY QUINN Costume. It's a cosplay photo from the last Philadelphia Comic Con. Yes, she looks kinda crazy, ha ha! The 2nd Wallpaper is a photo of a BAT-MITE Pinback Button that was a promotional item from DC Comics. It's not as wacky as the 1st one but he is a crazy character, so, enjoy.

Bat-Blog's FREE BATMAN WALLPAPERS - Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!

Oh yeah! It's that time again, time to share some BATMAN WALLPAPERS you can use to decorate your computer's desktop. That is, if you're cool enough, ha! Now, the 1st one is pretty simple, it's just a really nice sharp color photo of the most beautiful car in the entire world, George Barris' 1966 BATMAN TV Show Batmobile! Make this your personal wallpaper & I guarantee you will drool for days. Then, next-up, is this unusual image of Batman and Robin fighting Two-Face. BATMAN ROBIN and BATGIRL Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday, on Thursday!

I know yesterday was Wednesday and some Bat-Blog Fans look forward to their weekly fix of BATMAN Wallpaper Backgrounds that we post, but we announced the death of the Golden Age Comic Book Artist Lew Sayre Schwartz and it just didn't seem respectful to post anything else. So, here they are now. The 1st one was made using graphics of the box lid for the New 1966 BAT-BOAT Model Kit made by Polar Lights. I like this groovy image, ha! The next one uses a nice picture of Batgirl on her Bat-Cycle that was originally a Warner Bros Store Framed Lithograph. I remember this picture fondly. We used to have a WB Store here where I lived and I really really wanted this piece. They also made a few other in this series & they were all great. I totally loved that store because they had such awesome stuff! Sadly, they closed and I never got the chance to buy any of these prints.

BATMAN AND ROBIN WALLPAPERS - 1966 Coloring Book Graphics!

These 2 Bat-Wallpapers were made using graphics from some older Vintage 1966 Batman Coloring Books that some long-time Batman Collectors might recognize! The one showing Robin, in the Bat-Cave using the Bat-Computer, is my top favorite. Wait! The one with the Dynamic Duo aboard the Bat-Boat is my favorite... OK, I can't decide, they're BOTH cool, ha ha!

COMPOSITE SUPERMAN ART and RIDDLER MEGO DOLL BACKGROUNDS - Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!

OK, This week's "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday" is gonna get really really weird, ha! First off we have a very nice piece of art sent in to us by our friend Gary. It's an image of one of the strangest Super-Villains in Comic Book history, COMPOSITE SUPERMAN! This weird character has developed sort of a cult following over the years & keeps making appearances from time to time. Basically, his costume is half-Batman and half-Superman. I don't know, I've always thought it looks pretty cool! If ya wanna learn more about this guy then just click HERE, it's pretty interesting stuff. Also, a special "THANKS!" goes out to Gary for sharing his awesome artwork with us, good job!

Next up, the Bat-Blog is mostly known for being a place where Serious Batman Toy Collectors show-up. The history of merchandise for the Caped Crusader is vast & we love all the cool vintage stuff that's been made over the years. One area of collecting that I have always loved are the Mego Dolls from the 1970's. In this wallpaper I used a simple clean photo of THE RIDDLER Figure. Go ahead, try it as a background, you'll like it, ha!

GAMESPOT, an Awesome Gamer News Site, has just reported that you will be able to play as CATWOMAN in the new BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Video Game!! BATMAN WALLPAPERS - Comic Book Graphics & BATMAN LIVE World Arena Tour

Hey Kiddos! It's Wednesday so you know what time it is... "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday"!! We have some great stuff this week so let's get to it. The 1st one is a Batman background with a simple color palette. Basically, it's comic book style graphics ( line art ) in 2 shades of blue, Nice! This was submitted by our friend Galen, who, I think colored it. Either way it's pretty awesome! The next wallpaper is a publicity photo for the BATMAN LIVE World Arena Tour. There hasn't been much news or hype about this UK event lately so I thought this image would be fun!

BATMAN WALLPAPER - Jean Baptiste's Vintage 1960's BATMOBILE CAR Japanese Tin Toy

OK, The more I look at this image, the more I want to cry! The Bat-Blog has a cool friend over at facebook named Jean Baptiste. He lives in Belgium & is also a major Vintage Toy Collector. His main focus are old Japanese Tin Toys & Robots from Japan. He recently sent me this photo the other day of a beautiful 60's Batmobile Tin Toy Car from his collection. Now, I'm not sure if he was just sharing to be nice, or if he was trying to torture me ( ha ha! ). But either way, thank You Jean for the great pic. I love this old toy so much that I made two BATMAN WALLPAPERS out of it! Just choose the color you like, then POW! You got an awesome desktop background, ha!

Our friend Chris Franchi recently submitted this amazing artwork for a Bat-Blog Exclusive Wallpaper. This dark image of Gotham City's #1 Hero is really great for a background. It combines both drawn artwork & photography. Giving the whole thing a very realistic look. Plus, it's extremely cool! BATMAN THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Movie News - Warner Bros Releases Official BANE VILLAIN Photo of Actor Tom Hardy!

Finally! This morning Warner Bros released an official photo of the Actor Tom Hardy dressed as the Super-Villain, BANE!! Of course we're talking about the next Batman movie, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES! So far, it's looking pretty cool! Oh yeah, as a side-note I should say that I made this image a "DARK KNIGHT RISES" Wallpaper Background, so please use it to brighten your desktop!

BATMAN GOTHAM CITY IMPOSTERS - Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday!

OK, I usually post a few BATMAN WALLPAPERS that compliment each other, but these 2 seem to cancel each other out. The 1st one is an ultra-sweet image of some very happy Batman Cookies. Admit it, looking at them made you smile :) The next background is an official image from Warner Bros showing their concept art for a future Batman Video Game that will be called "Gotham City Imposters". Now, so far, I'm not able to have much of an opinion on this yet. But it's making me curious, what do YOU think?
