I thought I would experiment with a new idea of, each week, posting a cool Batman item I come across on eBay, that is still for sale. Now, this is NOT an invitation for eBay Slaves to spam me with what they're selling, ha! ( That's not gonna happen! ) I'll just find something fun & post it on my own. This item is pretty cool. Here's a Framed Color Photo of Batman and Robin from the Classic 1960's TV Series. It's signed by both Actors from the BATMAN TV Show, Adam West & Burt Ward. It's a photo you don't see that often & the signatures look really good. Here's a link to check it out, just click HERE!

Our friend BatDave hit the recent 2011 Philadelphia Comic Con & guess who he saw? Batgirl, Robin, & the Joker! He also got a great photo of Harley Quinn, which we have made into a BATMAN Desktop Wallpaper, look for that one tomorrow ( Wednesday at the Bat-Blog is ALWAYS "Wacky Wallpaper Wednesday"! )

Oh yeah! It's that time again, time to share some BATMAN WALLPAPERS you can use to decorate your computer's desktop. That is, if you're cool enough, ha! Now, the 1st one is pretty simple, it's just a really nice sharp color photo of the most beautiful car in the entire world, George Barris' 1966 BATMAN TV Show Batmobile! Make this your personal wallpaper & I guarantee you will drool for days. Then, next-up, is this unusual image of Batman and Robin fighting Two-Face. I just thought it was a cool graphic because it's from the Golden Age of Comic Books, nice! Remember, please be sure to share these backgrounds with all your friends. In fact, please tell every Batman Fan you know about the BAT-BLOG.COM, thanks!

The Bat-Blog totally digs creativity, in any form, and here's a GREAT example! Here are some photos from a Fan who likes to create Custom Batman Toys. He takes Hasbro MIGHTY MUGGS Figures & repaints them. Now, for Non-Toy-Collector-People out there who don't know, Hasbro has the license to make Marvel Comics Superhero Characters & Mattel does DC Comics. So, since Mighty Muggs are made by Hasbro then they will NEVER do any BATMAN Figures. So, for the people who want them your only choice is to... customize them! Our Friend Ryan has done an extremely excellent job on his Customs. First up is Robin & he looks great! He has also done Bane, Clayface, Batman, & Azrael. Please check out the photos because they are AWESOME!! The Bane & Clayface are my 2 top favorites, then Robin. Which ones do you like?I wanna thank Ryan for sharing these pics & if you want to see more of his cool artwork then just click HERE!
Over at the "Golden Age Comic Book Stories" Website a Blogger scanned a few 1940's BATMAN SUNDAYS from the New York Sunday Mirror Tab Sections. They're all from 1946. The Artwork is by Jack Burnley, among others. They are all a total joy to read & the vintage graphics are completely beautiful. I've attached one as an example ( Click on it for a larger, more readable, version ), but to see them ALL just click HERE!
MEET BATMAN AND ROBIN, THE BOY WONDER, LIVE IN PERSON! The Actors from the Classic 1966 BATMAN TV Show, Adam West and Burt Ward, will be at this years Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con 2011. The event starts tomorrow, Friday, June 17th & runs the whole weekend. So, if you live near that area then you need to drop by & say, "Howdy!". The convention will also have a ton of Comic Book Artists, who over the years, have worked on a BATMAN title. Here at the Bat-Blog we're always reporting on all the brand-new Batman merchandise we come across. I mean, we love this stuff. Plus, we're crazy! But these TOON TUMBLERS Batman Glasses are way too cool! The company has just released a Set of 4 Glasses that are sold as a Boxed Set. The characters include: Batman, Robin, Catwoman, & The Joker. Check out the photo ( Click on it for a larger, more detailed, picture ), they're pretty cool. Then, for the best prices, be sure to click on the link button down below.
Here's a wonderful photo of an extremely RARE piece of Vintage Batman merchandise. It's a 1966 BATMAN Shirt... for a Little Girl. This item was bought off eBay awhile back from our friend Doug, who wrote, "I recently purchased this 1966 Batman Girl's Summer Shirt on eBay for a song. It is size 3X small cotton shirt with the Joker, Penquin, Batmobile, Batman, and Robin. It also has Gotham City in the background. Please note the Batman Logo is highlighted in pink and other features as well. This is the first one I have ever seen."
Yes, I have to agree that this is the very first time I have seen this variation. Now, I've seen this same graphic used on Baby bibs, Pillows, T-Shirts, etc...but never on a little girl's outfit & never in the strange hot pink variation, very cool! Thanks to Doug for sharing. So, do YOU have a RARE Batman Collectible you would like to share? I'm talking about a "Museum Piece" you have never seen before. if so, then please shoot the Bat-Blog a photo & send it to us, thanks.
Oh man, I am so jealous of this photo & proud of it too. The Bat-Blog has a new friend named Drew who really got to meet his favorite superheroes in person! We're talking about Batman and Robin, The Boy Wonder!! Actually, we're talking about Burt Ward and Adam West!! The Actors from the Classic 1966 BATMAN TV Show were at a Comic Book Convention recently where Drew got to take this wonderful photo. Man, what a great pic! Another cool thing is that it is also signed by both guys... this is a complete treasure! Thank you Drew for sharing this, YOU ROCK Dude!!

I noticed a story the other day over at COMICS ALLIANCE that sort of broke my heart a little bit. It appears that Moose Baumann, an extremely talented comic book colorist, is being plagued with having to deal with his Wife's Cancer Treatment ( We hope she is feeling better soon ). You see, most Comic Book Artists are pretty much "freelance" or self-employed. Many don't have proper Health Insurance. So, to help deal with the bills Moose Baumann is offering "Superhero Art Prints" to help raise money. The prints are 13" x 19" and printed on archival paper. They're some of the many comic book covers ( and inside artwork ) that he has colored. Now, We have only posted a few as examples here but there are more variations on Batman and Robin. There are also some images of Green Lantern, Superman, The Flash, Iron Man, etc... Here's a LINK to check it out!! Oh yeah, the prints are only $20 so while you're there buy 3 or 4, thanks.
