Here are some amazing photos sent in by our friend Damon showing him dressed-up as The JOKER from THE DARK KNIGHT Movie ( Heath Ledger version ). Both the make-up & costume look incredible. In fact, this would probably be one of the best Batman Costumes at any Halloween party! Now the pics he sent were pretty BIG so as a bonus I thought I would make them JOKER WALLPAPERS. Yes, you can use these images as a background to brighten your PC desktop.
OK, I was surfing through eBay the other night & came across this strange Custom BATMAN Horse Saddle. I thought I would share it because it's sort of both extremely weird & very awesome all at the same time. You know, kinda quirky. Actually, I guess if you do need a saddle then this would be pretty cool to have. It has the bat-symbol logo on it & comes in yellow or blue ( I like the yellow one better ).
A friend told me about this extremely interesting video he found the other day & it's really great! It's an excerpt from the BATMAN: THE KILLING JOKE comic book graphic novel by Alan Moore & Brian Bolland. It's acted out by voice artist Patrick Girts and animated with Batman & Joker LEGO Toys by filmmaker Forrest Whaley. Enjoy.
The main focus of the Bat-Blog is to share the joy of collecting Batman Toys and Bat-Products, both old & new. OK, I know we also cover the TV Shows, Cartoons, Movies, Video Games, etc...but we're mainly all about being a collector. Now one of my personal favorite areas of collecting is the neat stuff they made in the 1970's. I was a little kid during that period so they have a lot of nostalgia for me. Plus, they made a lot of wacky items back then, ha! Here's just a small example: Check out this Original Batman PEZ Store Display Box. The vintage graphics are wonderful. Back in 1976 the PEZ company made a set of PEZ Candy Dispensers of Batman, Batgirl, Wonder Woman, The Penguin, & The Joker. The cool thing, also, was that they had rubber heads ( instead of the regular hard plastic ). Today, these babies are extremely hard-to-find! Plus, why isn't the Penguin shown on the box? Strange.The next item is RARE too. Here is a Batman Finger Puppets Play Set made in 1976 by Ideal. Basically it was a set of molds where you could make some superhero character heads out of Modeling Dough. The next item is a Batman Toy Watch made by MARX Toys. It's from around 1977 & I totally remember having it as a little kid, ha! I have one of these in my personal collection ( but NOT in the original packaging ). The last item is one that I didn't even know existed until about a year ago & I've been a serious collector for 20+ years. It's a Batman L'il Zips Bat-Cycle made by AHI. OK, I knew there were one of these Bat-Cycles out there ( a larger one ) but this one is very small, a different scale. Hence the name, "L'il Zips". Someday this baby WILL BE MINE! Wow! Check out this amazing "1966 Batman TV Show Tribute" Tattoo!! This was submitted by our friend Sarah who lives in Austria. This tattoo took over a year to create with 8 different trips to the Tattoo Shop. Now, that's dedication right there, ha! But it was worth it because it's a beautiful piece of ART. The details are insane! It features Batman ( Adam West ), Robin The Boy Wonder ( Burt Ward ), The Joker ( Cesar Romero ), the 1966 BATMAN TV Show Logo, & even the famous Red Bat-Phone! I think the artist did a great job on the rendering of the character's faces because they look EXACTLY like the original actors! Plus, the coloring & over-all composition is very excellent ( Be sure to click on the above photo for a larger, more detailed, pic ). I wanna thank Sarah for sharing her personal story & photo...great stuff! I also want to invite any old or new Bat-Blog Fans who get some ink done to send us some pictures, Thanks.

Hey, Check it out! It's our good buddy Desmond & he's the coolest kid in the whole wide world! Why? Because ...HE IS BATMAN!! See, here's the photographic proof, ha ha! Actually, Desmond's parents just bought him this extremely awesome "Batman Costume" T-Shirt at Target & they wanted to share this information with other Bat-Blog Fans, especially parents with small children. So, thanks Desmond...your bat-shirt is GREAT!! Now that I think about it, this would be sort of cool for Halloween. Thanks for sending us the cool pic.
